I am the daughter of the one True King, Jesus Christ, and we are at war with the enemy, satan. (Ephesians 6:11)

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12

I am a warrior princess and a warrior princess knows that she must suit up for battle!

“Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:13)

STAND FIRM!

Ephesians 6:14-20

Wearing the:
Breastplate of Righteousness.  This piece of armor protects my heart. I don’t want my heart to be exposed to sin so I study and obey the Word of my father God. His word gives me the weapons I need when the enemy sends trials and tribulations my way to live righteously.

The Belt of Truth. Buckled firmly around my waist is the belt of truth. The truth is found in Father God’s word.  I read the Bible and apply the verses as I pray and ask God for His guidance so that I may be equipped for battle whenever the enemy attacks.

The Helmet of Salvation. I wear this helmet to protect my mind. The enemy attacks my mind the most. He tries to trick me into thinking my salvation is false. The enemy tries to fill my head with negative thoughts and tries to discourage me by pointing out my failures and sins.  I try to make sure my helmet of salvation is always on.  A princess must wear her crown, ya know!

Shoes of The Gospel Peace.  A girl has to have a good pair (or pairs) of shoes especially in battle against the enemy.  Putting on my shoes of the Gospel Peace reminds me of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for my sins. I can walk around all day telling people of the good news.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV

All the while building my Father’s kingdom with new Christians and a stronger army.

The Sword of the Spirit.  Like any good soldier I have to have a weapon. When Satan attacks, we Christians have the best weapon; The Word of God, The Holy Bible.  Father God’s words are alive and they are MIGHTY!! When Satan attacks, I pick up my sword, the mighty word of God and I use it against the enemy’s attack.  Quoting scripture and praying scripture that is the TRUTH! The enemy has no power against God’s word; for God does not lie!

The Shield of Faith.  When the enemy is throwing his fiery darts at me, I raise my Shield of Faith.
(Ephesians 6:16) In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

The enemy throws deceitful darts. You know the ones that make you so glad that you have your helmet of salvation on as well.  His darts are laced with lies; “You’re not good enough. You’re not loved. Go ahead and sin, you’re really not forgiven.”  Oh, he is such a LIAR! My shield of faith protects me.  Satan attacks us the most when we are trusting and obeying God’s word.  He will try anything to get at us.  BE READY with the Armor of God.

“Be alert and of sober mind.  Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:8-10 NIV
