He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.    John 8: 44b NASB

Have you ever wondered where Fear comes from?

First of all, God gave us the feeling of fear as a protection mechanism. For instance, if there is a lion about to jump on you. Unless you are the Lion King, you might want to get out of the way. Or, there is a tornado coming, get to your basement. You know what I mean.

But there is this fear that can come out of nowhere and really plays havoc with our minds. Maybe the fear of being rejected, being alone, no one likes me, I am not good enough. I could go on forever about the different fears. There is not one person that doesn’t fear something. Some people have a fear of snakes, water, fire, etc. Mine is spiders! Hate them!

Let’s talk about the fear that takes hold of you and grips your very being.

The kind that takes over your mind.

The kind that… Steals our joy, Kills our hearts and Destroys our lives.

John 10:10 NASB says “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

Thank God the second part of the verse! Jesus says that He comes to give us Life. Not just life, but abundant Life.

Satan comes to rob everything Jesus wants to freely give us. Now, we were never promised a rose garden. That is not what Jesus is saying here. BUT we can have a life minus the fear.

Remember.. “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity/ fear, but of power and love and discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7

I’m not saying I live a perfect life without fear. What I am saying is, we can have His peace that surpasses ALL understanding.

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

Our faith is in Christ. He is our Truth. When times of fear pops its ugly head, the ONLY thing I can cling to is Truth. And I mean Cling, Like to a thread of His garment. When we hold onto Truth, the truth will set you free.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And let the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is Honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. Philippians 4:6-8 NASB

My thought is this… Once we realize who we are dealing with and who puts those thoughts of unfounded fear in our minds, we can overcome the fear the enemy so sneakingly puts in our hearts and minds. Then we will know WHOSE we are – God’s!

Pray daily for your hearts and minds to be guarded by Truth, the Word of God. As in Philippians 4:7, “…will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Friends, It’s time we take back our land/ lives in the Name of Jesus. Fear has no hold on you or me, because we belong to the King of Kings, Lord of Lord, we are a Daughter of the Most High, Jesus Christ our Messiah.

Father,  Thank You for Your word. It is always true and good. Help us take back our land, our lives. The enemy has spoken lies far too long. Lord, Your Word, speaks Truth, Peace, Love, Gentleness, and Kindness. I pray all of these over these ladies today. I pray for strength to conquer the enemy In Jesus’ Name. Let there be Peace in their hearts & minds. No More Lies. Thank You Jesus! Amen
